Hello all, from the great distances of the frozen north. We greet you with STILL chattering teeth and are happy to say, we're still alive! And for those of you who were wondering, so far, the tally is in favor of us having a boy, but we won't be sure until we go see the doctor. According to Rebecca's mysterious book of family planning magic, we're probably having a boy. Who knows? We will this weekend! Yay!



Coming to Rexburg Idaho was like stepping into a magic shower that turns you into adults. We're suddenly responsible for everything that happens to us. we have to pay bills, buy food, make food, clean dishes, and, as mom would say, "the whole nine yards." It's refreshing, to say the least, to finally be looked at as adults. We're still students, and some of the teachers and even teacher's aids look at us as, well, young and stupid, but we don't really care so much about that. What we do care about is that we're learning tons, and in a few more semesters, we'll be ready for that $70,000 job they keep telling us about in the engineering department.



After a few weeks of being here, Adam got a bit depressed about how broken his guitar is. Seriously, it's broken, and there isn't much short of a neck replacement surgery that can fix it. So Adam went on down to the music store and got himself a nice acoustic-electric. Though he doesn't play as often as he used to, he still uses it to destress from the harder days.




Rebecca is doing great. For a while there, life was not so fun, with all of that morning sickness stuff. As time goes by though, it's slowly going away and getting replaced by these funny bubbly feelings in her belly that are something like gas pains without the pain. Adam hasn't been able to feel them yet, but the baby is definitely kicking something fierce. It's a reminder that in a few more months, we'll be joining the rest of the family in this adventure most people call parenthood, but which Adam likes to think of as babysitting God's kids for an extended period of time...

Sometimes, it's nice to take a break from everyday monotony. For a while, Adam would play Battle Toads on the TV, but he got frustrated at the level where you have to race the little frog on the air scooter thing through an underground tunnel. He dies every time at the end of the level, just before it's supposed to end.




We like our little apartment. It might seem little to other people, but it's really huge compared to that little cabin behind Mom and Dad's place. We actually have a bedroom! And an oven! We're thankful for the time we had in the cabin. It makes us all the more satisfied with what we have. Here's a little shot of our living room, all nice and cozy...

We're excited for what's coming our way this year, and will probably be posting more growing-belly pictures as time goes by.

So, while Adam is studying C++ programming under a guy who worked for Microsoft and who studies the art of educating people about programming now, and while Rebecca just keeps on growing, both with child and knowledge about children, while Idaho keeps faking us out by letting the snow melt and then bringing it back again, and while Glenn Beck announces he's moving on from his show on Fox and Obama remains, well, Obama, here's wishing the best for all you spoiled rotten Arizonites who can walk around outside in shorts and a t-shirt, sandals, and sunglasses, a happy, safe, and enjoyable time in the dust bowl known as Paulden that plays home to human aliens, and entertainment district to those other aliens. Also, for anyone who is interested, we're officially extending a standing invitation to anyone in the family who wants to come up some time later on this summer to see the famous sites of Yellowstone National Park. We really want to go see what there is to see there, and maybe even get a camping permit if we can. So if you want to come up, let us know!
